1. Retail Pharmacists dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to the public, educate customers on health promotion, disease prevention and the proper use of medicines, and sell non-prescription medicines and related goods in a community pharmacy. Pharmacy retail refers to the sale of pharmaceutical products, which include over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and prescription drugs. Pharmacy retail stores also sell various FMCG products along with pharmaceutical products and its related services.

2. Wholesale pharmaceuticals- The function of pharmaceutical wholesalers is to act as an intermediary between the pharmaceutical industry and their customers (e.g., hospital and community pharmacies) by purchasing and distributing medicines to their customers. A pharmaceutical wholesaler buys products directly from drug manufacturers in large quantities. There are two types of wholesalers. Specialized companies purchase specialty pharmaceuticals from their manufacturers, while full-line wholesalers purchase complete lines of products from manufacturers.
